PLAYING INVENTIONS:

Click on the play button to begin a game. If there is a SAVED game, INVENTIONS will allow you to create a new game or resume a SAVED game. If there is no SAVED game, INVENTIONS will automatically begin a new game.

To interrupt a video or animation sequence, click ONCE with the LEFT mouse button.
Be SURE to listen to the "Coil Wrappin Factory" animation. It introduces the theme of the building projects.

There are six destinations on the main screen that you can access with a mouse click. Each destination or project is described by just passing the mouse over the image.
There are four main projects:

1. The telegraph project (The extension to the telegraph project is a RELAY. You can reach the RELAY project from the round green button on flags control screen)

2. The motor project (The extension to the motor project is a Galvanometer. To reach the Galvanometer, click on the round green button on flags control screen for the motor project.)

3. The generator project - click on pinwheel.

4. The radio project - click on radio.

There are two additional destinations:
1. The REVIEW animations which review basic concepts in electricity and magnetism. Click on the Battery/Bulb to reach the review animations.

2. The QUEST. To begin the Gray Matter Quest, click on the car.

To locate the CATALOG, click the green down arrow from either the PARTS screens or the REVIEW animations screen.

To EXIT from any point in the game, hit the ESC button or retrace your steps to the main control screen and click on the X for EXIT.

To SAVE a Game

As you exit, you have the option of saving the game if you have scored any points. The computer uses the name you picked at the beginning of play.

To RESUME the last INVENTIONS game in play.
Select RESUME on the entry screen.
